This section contains a few user options that can be toggled depending on preference.
No Scroll:
This option disables scrolling. This can be desirable when trying to use the app without looking at the screen or if you find yourself accidentally scrolling around.
Big Window:
This option maximizes the viewable area for each section and keeps a consistent location for the previous and subsequent section buttons. This is also useful when trying to operate the app without looking.
Desktop Site:
This button will take the user to the desktop version of the site. This is useful when the user wants to be more specific when entering in a detailed PiRep that the mobile app may not support. All data that has already been entered in on the mobile site will carry over to the desktop site.
Weather Station Help
This section is automatically populated using your phone's GPS by comparing your location to a list of weather stations.
You can refresh your location by pressing the "Refresh Location" button.
If you prefer to enter in the weather station manually you can tap the text box and switch to the desktop version.
Report Type Help
This section will automatically escalate to "Urgent" when a urgent condition is met in the other sections. If you're sure you'd like to manually declare your report "Urgent" you may do so as well.
Location Help
This section is automatically populated using your phone's GPS by comparing your location to a list of navagation aids.
If you prefer to manually enter this data you can tap the text box and switch to the desktop version.
Time Help
This section is automatically populated using your phone's clock and adjusted to UTC.
You may also enter in your own four digit value.
Flight Level Help
To input the Altitude of the feature you are trying to report, tap the button at the bottom of the screen that says "UNKN".
In the new window use the dial to select the altitude. Tapping a number at the top will switch the target field for the dial.
Once you are done tap the "Apply" button to save the altitude to the report.
Aircraft Type Help
Model of your Aircraft. Ex: B737
Sky Cover Help
This section allows you to input three sky cover layers. Subsiquent layers are revealed when you select a feature from the list.
After selecting a feature enter a "Base Elevation" and "Top Elevation" (if known). If you are not sure what the Elevation is, you may leave it as "UNKN".
Weather Help
Visibility:
Use the dial to select the visibility distance. If visibility is less than one mile, tap the "<1 mile" button to select visibility in increments of 1/8 mile.
For the other sections select any obscurations, precipitation, and other features in the vicinity that apply.
For more detailed input options you can switch to the desktop version.
Temperature Help
Use the Dial to select the temperature in Celsius.
Wind Help
Use the two dials to select the direction (in degrees North), and speed (in Knots).
Turbulence Help
Select the level of turbulence from the provided list. Afterward you may select whether the turbulence is at, above, below, or between a range of altitudes.
Icing Help
Select the level of icing from the provided list. Afterward you may select whether the icing is at, above, below, or between a range of altitudes.
Remarks Help
Enter any remarks that you would like to add that were not covered in the main portion of your report.
Summary Help
This sections shows you the raw text of your Pilot Report. In the future you will be able to submit the pirep by clicking the "Submit PIREP" button. At the moment the pireps are not saved.
